The relaxed Warnow tour from Schwaan to Rostock

The tour starts in Schwaan and leads through the nature reserve "Unteres Warnowland", past Pölchow, Papendorf and Kessin. Depending on the speed at which the canoeists are travelling, they will arrive at Mühlendamm in Rostock after approx. 4-5 hours.

The tour is located in the following protected areas:

• Fauna and flora habitat area: Warnowtal with small tributaries
• Nature reserve: Lower Warnowland
• Bird sanctuary: Warnowtal, Sternberger Seen and lower Mildenitz

Don't forget typical canoeing equipment (provided by the canoe provider), picnic and drinks for on the way

White-tailed eagles, kingfishers, woodpeckers and, with a bit of luck, beavers can be observed from the water, so you should definitely bring binoculars with you.

Approach from Rostock via Doberaner Straße or from Güstrow via Schwaaner Str.

There is a public car park in Schwaan on Loxstedter Straße (150 m from the deployment site).

Take the train to Schwaan main station. Then it's a 650 m walk in the direction of the market.
