As a Hanseatic and university city, Rostock has an eventful history of change in its rise and fall.
The city tour tells episodes about the pursuit of knowledge and power, about conflicts, truth and lies, about time and the fast pace of life as well as about beauty and the good life in the city.
The focus is on the university, its main building and the treasury, the university square, the monastery of the Holy Cross, the view of Kröpeliner Straße, the astronomical clock in St Mary's Church and, optionally, Wokrenterstraße in the eastern part of the old town with a visit to the Hausbaumhaus.
The city tour optionally ends in the "Philosophical Café" of the Rostocker Kaffeehaus in Lange Straße.
