Directions
Directions
From the "An der See" car park, walk approx. 650 m in the direction of the Markgrafenheide seaside resort and cross the road at beach access 3 - follow the signs. From here, ideally in suitable weather conditions, walk approx. 7.5 km eastwards in the aerosol surf zone, past the Markgrafenheide seaside resort to the cliffs at Rosenort. The "Heiliger See" nature reserve with forest, intensively utilised moor meadows, the so-called Hütelmoor and salt marshes is located very close to the Baltic Sea. From the dune, you have an overwhelming view of the Baltic Sea and the natural beauty of the "Holy Lake". When you pass the dunes at the Rosenort beach access point, you can take a short break and breathe deeply in the coastal forest. To return to Hohe Düne, follow the signs back to the beach access and follow the beach in a westerly direction. After approx. 3 km, you will pass the "Blaue Boje" beach restaurant at the Markgrafenheide beach resort - here you can treat yourself to a short break on the terrace and enjoy a snack. From the "Blaue Boje", it is approx. 3.3 km along the beach to beach access 3. When you leave the beach area here, carefully cross the road again and walk the remaining 650 m in a westerly direction. If you leave the hotel grounds in the direction of the main road, you only have to cross it to return to your starting point at the "An der See" car park.

Information & tips on climatic hiking and walking
- Exercise in the fresh air is good for every body at any age and in every season.
- Walking on the forest floor is more sheltered from the wind and sun than on the beach. The atmosphere of the forest allows the body to rest more quickly.
- The air in the surf zone is in constant motion and contains maritime aerosol, the effect of which is similar to a natural inhaler.
- The sea edge is the zone with the highest air purity, which is particularly suitable for allergy sufferers.
- A walk on the beach against the wind strains and trains the joints and muscles more than a hike on solid forest ground.
- When climate hiking, wear sportswear and sturdy shoes appropriate to the season.
